Warner Institute has a Fellowship Training Program. A “fellowship” is the highest level of training that a physician can receive in their careers. The training goes: college, then medical school, then residency training, then fellowship. The first three training steps are mandatory to practice medicine in the US. The fellowship year is elective, and is a highly specialized training year. Given my unique area of expertise and volume of surgery that I do, we have established a fellowship program for Facial Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery. We train surgeons in complex surgeries related to the head and neck, particularly nose surgery and facial surgery. A pool of potential fellow applicants is reviewed each year, and one person is selected for this coveted position. The fellow is joined at the hip with Dr. Warner throughout the fellowship year to learn how to evaluate patients, surgically treat patients, office procedures, cosmetic procedures, reconstructive procedures, traveling with us on our mission trip to Nepal to join that experience, and to learn the business of running a surgical practice.
Dr. Warner has publications in many areas of plastic surgery, including articles on facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). He has been published in multiple major plastic surgery textbooks and presented numerous lectures at local, national, and international meetings. Above all, he spends time writing and lecturing because he is committed to providing his patients with the most current state of care in addition to teaching the next generation of plastic surgeons.
